Don't Spend Billions on Unsafe Nuclear Power

Harmful amounts of radiation can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or even sterility. These are just some of the dangers faced when living near a nuclear power plant. But despite the massive risks nuclear power involves, Ontario's politicians are looking to spend $33 billion on revamping, repairing, and replacing the nuclear reactors in Darlington.

Spending billions on nuclear power instead of investing in safe, clean energy is a mistake Ontario can't afford to make. While countries like China, Sweden, and Switzerland are progressing and converting to clean renewable energy, Canada will be stuck in the stone ages.

As the recent disaster in Fukushima, Japan shows us, there are no guarantees when it comes to safety and nuclear power. Continuing to use nuclear energy could hurt Ontario's health, our environment, and our budget. Stand up and tell our government we need to invest in real clean energy, NOT nuclear!
Dear [Party Leader],

Continuing the use of nuclear power in Canada is a dangerous mistake. Our government needs to start looking for alternative energy resources; ones that pose less risk and are more cost-efficient

As the recent disaster in Fukushima showed us, there are too many risks involved with nuclear power to continue spending billions investing in it. To add insult to injury, a new nuclear power plan will ultimately send our government into more debt.

Spending $33 billion on a new nuclear power plan is just not smart. Stop investing billions in nuclear energy and start investing in safe and clean alternative sources of energy!
