Alumni and Friends of Valley Grande Adventist Academy is a group that is interested in the restoration of funds rightfully belonging to Valley Grande Adventist Academy. This group believes that those funds were imprudently used by certain officials at the Texas Conference of Seventh - Day - Adventitst on risky and unnecessary legal battles.
Our goal is to make the North American Division(NAD) of Seventh - Day-
Adventist and/ or General Conference (GC) of Seventh - Day - Adventist aware that a substantial number of Alumni and Friends of Valley Grande Academy (Seventh - Day - Adventist or otherwise) are extremely distraught with the business decisions of the current leadership in the Texas Conference of Seventh - Day - Adventist. Specifically, the conference use of money from the Valley Educational Fund, Inc. for legal expenses instead of using the money for running Valley Grande Adventist Academy's operating expenses, which was the original intended use of this money. It is our attempt to see if any of this lost money can be recuperated for VGAA from the Texas Conference.
This group will be an informative group that is cognizant of the need to maintain a good rapport with and amongst Valley Grande Adventist Academy, The Texas Conference of Seventh - Day - Adventist, and the SouthWestern Union Conference of Seventh - Day - Adventist. It wishes to have the NAD and/ or GC investigates this matter futher and render its own conclusion and recomendations.
Petition:
We, the undersigned Alumni and Friends of Valley Grande Adventist Academy, petition the North American Division of Seventh-Day-Adventists and/or the General Conference of Seventh-Day-Adventists to further investigate the legal battle between the Texas Conference of Seventh-Day Adventists and Valley Elder Care. We collectively believe that money belonging to VGGA and coming from its educational endowment, Valley Educational Fund, were inappropriately used by the Texas Conference to pay for the legal expenses involved with the above mentioned litigation.
The goal is to see if any of those funds can be recuperated by Valley Grande Adventist Academy, and to shed light on what we consider to be a lack of sound financial decision making by some current Texas Conference officials. It is our earnest belief that the financial/business competence of these current officials should be brought into question.
We hope that with a sufficient number of signatures, the NAD and/or GC will take the steps necessary to have the Texas Conference reimburse the above mentioned funds to Valley Grande Adventist Academy. We seek this reimbursement in good faith and expect that VGAA shall not receive any negative retribution (financial or otherwise) from the Texas Conference of Seventh-Day-Adventists as a result of this reimbursement.
By signing this petition, I affirm as an alumni or friend of Valley Grande Adventist Academy, my commitment to, and support for VGAA. I support not only the students and staff of Valley Grande Adventist Academy, but all other students and staff throughout the Adventist School System as a whole. I agree with the sentiments that have been expressed above by the Alumni and Friends of Valley Grande Adventist Academy.
