Artistic Nudity is NOT Porn
"Facebook stifles artists by not allowing artistic pieces with censored nudity, whilst allowing a multitude of near-naked trashy bar photos."
Recently, myself and another artist (and many many more I'm sure) have been grouped in with the "delinquents of Facebook"; those who upload photos that attack individuals, are pornographic, and promote drug use.
This petition does NOT fight for 100% nudity on Facebook. This petition comprehends that Facebook is a site that people of all ages frequent.
This petition DOES fight for mild artistic nudity, on a private Facebook account. It requests that moderators of Facebook take a closer look at the images they are reporting.
We the undersigned, feel that Facebook does not appropriately evaluate the photos reported for inappropriate conduct.
Though we comprehend that Facebook is a site open to people of all ages, we feel that mild artistic nudity on a private Facebook account should be allowed, and moderators should take a closer look at the images and account they are blocking, as well as open more of a dialogue about the issue with the artist who has submitted the piece.
