HELP LOWER THE COST OF GOING GREEN!

Want to go green but aren't a millionaire?  Having recently priced solar, reclaimed flooring and the like, I'm shocked at how expensive it can be to go green.  No wonder more people aren't doing it.  Who can afford it?

A typical solar system in NoVA runs about 100,000 while the federal rebate is only a couple thousand tops!  Some states, like VA don%u2019t offer ANY incentives.

Reclaimed wood flooring runs about ~$8.00/sq ft, uninstalled while the %u2018bad%u2019 stuff at major building supply centers is under $5.00/sq ft.

Want health and beauty products that you don%u2019t have to take out a small loan to pay for?  Good luck.  For example, a low toxin shampoo in the cosmeticsdatabase.com database is ~$20 for 8oz!  Outrageous!

Something needs to be done to help the average person afford green products.  Government offsets need to be more until the demand gets where it needs to be to bring prices down for green building products, solar, wind, and non-toxic health and beauty products.
