This is a petition signed by the students, parents, and community members of William Monroe Middle School.
We believe that Mrs. Hagedorn is an outstanding teacher and should be re-hired for next year. Mrs. Hagedorn is more than our teacher; she is also our friend. We love Mrs. Hagedorn and her classroom has become a home for us, a place we feel safe and comfortable. Her classroom is a place where we can try anything and always know that Mrs. H is cheering us on.
Academically, Mrs. H pushes each student to do his or her best %u2013 and she shows us how we can have fun while learning! (The numbers prove it; Mrs. H has an average of over 90% of students who passed their SOLs this year.) Erin Hagedorn is an amazing teacher in all of our eyes.
There is no other teacher in the Distrct who is more dedicated in making a difference in every childs life She is a woman who shows us it's okay to be one's self. We love Mrs. H and it would be the school%u2019s loss if she is let go.
Students of WMMS whether she taught them or not find themselves learning new lesson just from being around her. She does not deserve to be laid off and many students agree as you see from the undersigned.
We, the undersigned, call upon the School System to re-hire Mrs. Erin Hagedorn, at WMMS or another district school.
