Pro Hens and Goats and WE VOTE!

We the undersigned want the zoning code in Jacksonville Florida changed.

In order to address issues of rising food prices, food safety, and community self-reliance we advocate for the keeping of backyard hens, and pet dairy goats.

 Chickens will be limited to 4 hens per household, NO ROOSTERS, and goats will be limited to 2 does or whethers, NO BUCKS, with an exception for temporary breeding purposes after which kids can be kept until 12 weeks of age.

 We believe it is a fundamental human right to provide ones own food.  Our reliance on the industrial food system and inhumane treatment of livestock has made us vulnerable to price spikes, food contamination, and adverse health affects on consumers.
