Replay the West Virginia-Cincinnati NCAAF Game (2009)

As many of you know, there was a call near the end of the first half in the West Virginia-Cincinnati which likely did not cross the goal line and was fumbled, and a WVU player recovered the fumble. The play was called on the field as a fumble. The ruling on the field was overturned with no video evidence supporting the official's claims (in college football there must be indisputable video evidence to overturn a call). This call gave Cincinnati 7 points where West Virginia would have had the ball. Cincinnati ended up winning by 3 points; making the call the difference in the game. This play can already be seen in slow motion on several video websites such as YouTube or ESPN360 if you would like to be the judge. Mark May, Lou Holtz (yes, you heard right), and several other announcers agreed that this has been one of the worst calls in a season full of them; with the highly ranked team nearly always getting the nod. Now many would suggest an officiating reform in the NCAAF, however, that will never happen. I am suggesting something that also will never happen, but will at least give the slightest beacon of hope for fans. I am suggesting for this game to be replayed, and the results of the first one to be scratched as it is impossible to tell what would have happened had the officials made the right call. A game has never been replayed in College Football due to poor officiating or a similar problem, and most likely never will. Who cares? Sign this petition if you want even more light to become shed on the awful officiating in the NCAAF today. Even if you're not a fan of WVU, these types of calls have cost several underdogs huge games this year.
