SAY NO TO NEIGHBOURHOOD BULLEY

Nepal Association for Global Cooperation strongly condemns the recent interference of Indian police in the districts of Dang and Bara, which is an unethical breaches of international law and codes. We strongly recommend the concerned institutions and individuals to act now and show solidarity in this petition campaign. %u201CSAY NO TO NEIGHBOURHOOD BULLEY%u201D

Recently a field study headed by the Committee%u2019s Chairman and Constituent Assembly Member Nabindra Raj Joshi has revealed that India has encroached Nepal%u2019s border by destroying 264 border pillars out of 685. Nepal having over three thousand years of history has always been independent and hopefully remain independent till the sun and moon remains in the universe. We had a glorious past with great heroes with uncommon patriotism and legendary bravery. The bravery, which our the then enemies have praised and erected pillars to honor them, seem to be fading away, when our great leaders and brave people are not as responsible at this crucial point of history as they should be.

We, the Nepalese people around the globe, are sincerely proud of our unique  identity, a glorious history, and an innate spirit of patriotism. During the last few years, our motherland Nepal has undergone tremendous amount of changes in the socio political scenario as a dynamic manifestation of people%u2019s aspiration for a positive change. We express our utmost gratitude and thanks to the individuals and institutions that have paid such an invaluable price of their time, resources and spiritual energy. We also thank our foreign friends who have supported our cause directly or indirectly. We pay our due homage to our immortal martyrs who have sacrificed their lives to bring this landmark of our history.

We call upon all the Nepalese around the world to unite on the basis of common interest, national sovereignty, integrity, inclusive democracy and social justice. New Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal is still in the slumber of fear and uncertainty, misunderstanding and suspicion. The situation now is unpredictable and ever confusing. We want all Nepalese to be aware that this is the kind of situation when our internal and external enemies will leave no stones unturned to divide and weaken us.

We need to take strong precautions to focus on our destiny even if we have some differences among us. Uniqueness is the essence of human beings and we must be wise enough to respect each other%u2019s unique ways and values. Communal harmony, respect to our seniors, uncommon patriotism is glorious cultural heritage. We must not only conserve these glorious assets but also mobilize our collective efforts to promote them in the world community. We all have a common dream for a peaceful and prosperous Nepal. To realize that dream, we need Nepal to remain sovereign, inseparable and united. We prove to the world that we are not only brave but also emotionally intelligent. We strongly feel that Nepal is in the most critical situation in its 3000 years of history. The essential demand of the time is national unity. Mutual understanding and communal harmony has been a burning issue, a painful issue of the time.

We call upon all the people with Nepali citizenship or  origin to unite and sign this petition to disagree with the foreign attack on our national sovereignty and integrity. We call upon our respected and beloved Indian brothers and sisters to stand with us and save our centuries old friendship.
