"Secure The Obama Presidency " Petition

WE THE UNDERSIGNED CITIZENS OF THESE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA ENDORSE THIS DOCUMENT AS MEMBERS OF THE "SECURE THE OBAMA PRESIDENCY (S.T.O.P.)".  WE THEREFORE AGREE WITH THE GENERAL CONCERNS AND DEMANDS EXPRESSED HEREIN.

Whereas, according to at least one author, when President Obama took office, the rate of threats against him increased 400 percent compared to those under President George W. Bush. 

Whereas, according to the same source, Obama is given less security than previous U.S. Presidents despite conspicuous increases in threats. 

Whereas, regardless of whether the threat levels increased by 400 percent or 100 percent, President Obama is indisputably facing greater life-threatening risks than his predecessors.

Whereas, during the November 24th incident, Secret Service allowed two unauthorized individuals to enter the White House, the residence of the President and his family, and these violators further remained within handshaking and striking distance of the President.

Whereas such relaxed security measures occur as mainstream media allows certain radio/TV commentators and programming to irresponsibly fan the life-threatening flames of racial hatred toward the President.  

Whereas, one of Obama death threats included a plot by domestic terrorists such as "white supremacists" in Tennessee who planned to rob a gun store, shoot 88 black people, decapitate another 14 and then "assassinate the first black president in American history".

Whereas, on December 7, 2009, mainstream media published news of an internal report of the Secret Service which exposed  "91 security breaches", most of them involving U.S. Presidents since 1980.

Whereas, the 91 security breaches were reported at the time President Obama's Secret Service was already being perceived as inept due to the November 24th incident.

We the members and supporters of "Secure The Obama Presidency (S.T.O.P.)", THEREFORE DEMAND the Secret Service and other agencies/services responsible for protecting the life of President Obama are fully funded and allowed no room for cutting corners.

We DEMAND the President's security be provided to the fullest extent of the word, and at a level which is commensurate to the threat increase percentage. 

We DEMAND that S.T.O.P. members, supporters, and  all other concerned citizens be assured that every imaginable step has been taken to  hold those responsible for the November 24th incident accountable and that nothing near this level of  incompetence happens again.

We DEMAND  that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) better monitor and filter news coverage and remove networks and/or programming that overly provide a platform for lies, innuendos, racial demagoguery, and hatred against the President.

For example, we DEMAND the mainstream media never again provide such a high-profile platform for Obama-haters who sought to demonize this U. S. President for his desire to speak to school children as many of them are failing and often troubled.    

We DEMAND radio/TV sponsors to become more sensitive in terms of what life-threatening messages are being sent by the programs and networks they fund.

We DEMAND consumers not patronize those companies who continue to sponsor/fund programming that irresponsibly and openly call for the President's demise and/or his "failure".

We DEMAND the FCC and sponsors pull the plug on primetime hate radio/television personalities who serve as a recruitment tool for domestic/racial terrorists.  
  

We DEMAND Homeland Security and other responsible agencies prohibit high ranking officials from making degrading, biased, and partisan public statements which allege our Commander-In-Chief is "weak" in how he deals with the risky, complex, and bipartisan issues of foreign policy.  We believe such behavior dangerously undermines the U.S. President in his efforts to keep the country safe and puts the entire nation at risk.  We believe when such opinionated and irresponsible language is said in front of media cameras and given national/international coverage, rather than  spoken in a private session with the President, it has the same impact as would any acts of treason and/or sabotage.  

THEREFORE LET IT BE KNOWN, We the members and supporters of S.T.O.P. raise our common voices of UNITY to say "enough is enough!"  Based upon the fore stated outline of  S.T.O.P. concerns and demands, we enthusiastically pledge to support and work  with S.T.O.P. to bring to fruition its moral, just, and patriotic interests in spiritually and physically keeping the U.S. President and our nation "secure".
