VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE: REMOVAL OF NYANDARUA COUNTY JUBILEE PARTY CHAIRPERSON – MR. SAMBIGI MUKURIA

REMOVAL OF NYANDARUA COUNTY JUBILEE PARTY CHAIRPERSON – MR. SAMBIGI MUKURIA

Over an extended period, Mr. Mukuria has demonstrated conduct that undermines the values, unity, and integrity of the Jubilee Party through continued disrespect toward party members, voters, and aspirants within the county.

Following a meeting convened by the Jubilee Party Head Office on 13 March 2026 ahead of the official opening of the Nyandarua County office, a resolution was reached to foster reconciliation between the Chairperson and other aggrieved members. Despite agreeing to a ceasefire and restoration of harmony, Mr. Mukuria has failed to honor these commitments and has continued to act in a manner that undermines the dignity of the Party.

The grounds for his removal are as follows:

    1. Failure to Uphold Party Values

Mr. Mukuria has failed to uphold the principles enshrined in the Party Constitution, including integrity, diligence, unity, cohesion, and respect for diversity. He has repeatedly used abusive and insulting language toward members, voters, Gen Z supporters, and aspirants, as evidenced in public records and official WhatsApp communications. This is against the Chapter 6 of the Kenyan Constitution 2010 and the Jubilee party constitution.

    2. Misappropriation and Lack of Accountability in Party Funds

He verbally abused leaders and members who sought accountability regarding funds allocated for the Olkalou office opening. He single-handedly planned and made decisions regarding the office opening excluding most officials. When a candidate requested for the review of the event, Mr. Sambigi asserted that the candidate had the right to demand financial accountability.

    3. Failure to Implement Party Directives

Despite clear directives from the Party Leader, Deputy Party Leaders, and the Secretary General to promote youth inclusion, Mr. Mukuria has resisted these efforts. He has opposed the Gen Z movement and allegedly attempted to remove the leader of the Gen-Z Red Voices initiative, including efforts to sabotage youth mobilization initiatives.

    4. Demoralizing Candidates:

Mr. Mukuria has publicly insulted and disrespected Jubilee Party candidates, contrary to party loyalty expectations. He publicly demoralizes and declares that some jubilee candidates will lose elections.

    5. Conduct Bringing the Party into Disrepute

He has publicly insulted voters and aspirants, thereby damaging the Party’s public image and credibility.

    6. Failure to Ensure Adequate Security During a Party Event

During the Olkalou office opening, Mr. Mukuria disregarded agreed security measures, including the provision of armed and private security for the presidential candidate and attendees, thereby compromising safety arrangements.
