Adding "Middle Eastern" Option for Race on College Board's Standardized Tests

Currently, the College Board lists ethnicity options as: "American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian (including Indian subcontinent and Philippines origin), Black or African American, White (including Middle Eastern origin), [and] Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander." Those from Middle Eastern origin are wrongfully absorbed within the "White" race, despite being culturally and genetically distinct from their European counterparts.
The misidentification of Middle Easterners is problematic for a number of reasons, primarily that they are being culturally appropriated on a national scale. This injustice should last no longer. I strongly urge those who agree with this cause to sign this petition and correct the racial propogation that we perpetuate in America today.
