Preserve the Beautiful Land of Finksburg - Stop Solar Development in Neighborhoods

Recent statewide regulations allow approved solar fields to be built in unused or "remaining portions" of land previously zoned for agriculture only. The project that is currently in the design and planning stage will include 15 acres of metal and silicon solar panels that will be adjacent to and visible from our homes. The entire field will be surrounded by a chain link fence and will significantly detract from the area's natural beauty and could negatively impact our home values let alone the quiet enjoyment of where we live. We do not believe this particular area is best suited for a project like this as there are significant locations state wide where such development could occur without disrupting local neighbors.
