End the Terror and Violence. Abolish ICE.

Less than 24 hours after Martin Luther King Jr. Day, ICE used a young child as bait – instructing him to knock on his own door so agents could detain his family. The boy and his father are now detained in Texas.

That same day, federal agents tear-gassed a public park, pepper-sprayed a legal observer at point-blank range, and detained an unknown – but likely very high – number of people, including U.S. citizens and visa holders. ICE later warned the public not to bring children to protests because agents might hurt them.

This is not law enforcement. It is terror. We must act before more innocent people die, like Keith Porter Jr., Renée Good, and Alex Pretti

Sign now to tell Congress: abolish ICE.

ICE agents are now breaking down doors and entering homes without warrants signed by judges, a fundamental violation of constitutional rights. In Minnesota and beyond, ICE agents have been reported outnumbering local police, operating as an unaccountable federal force within civilian neighborhoods.

In recent days alone:

  • An elderly man — later confirmed to be a U.S. citizen — was detained from his home while still in his underwear.

  • A five-year-old child was detained.

  • Four Native Americans were detained, and three are not currently located in the system, with families and advocates unable to determine where they are.

At protests elsewhere in the country, federal forces have shot demonstrators at close range with so-called "less-lethal" munitions – blinding at least two people permanently and seriously injuring others. These tactics are increasingly being used alongside ICE operations.

Even prominent political leaders are now openly endorsing escalation. Calls for ICE to go "door to door" should alarm every American who understands history -- because this is how democracies slide into something far darker.

For years, Immigration & Customs Enforcement operated largely out of sight. Now the mask is off. Communities of color are afraid to leave their homes. Children are missing school. Families are disappearing into detention without explanation or due process.

This agency has become incompatible with human rights, constitutional law, and public safety.

Congress has a choice: continue allowing a federal force to operate without accountability -- or abolish ICE and end this abuse of power once and for all.
