ADULT TREATMENT COURTS
WHAT IS A TREATMENT COURT?
The goal of treatment court is to change the behaviors of nonviolent, felony drug possession offenders, as well as nonviolent multiple DUI offenders, so they may have the opportunity to work toward achieving a life free of dependence on mind/mood altering substances, and the harmful activities associated with substance dependence.
DUI Court Treatment Program Participants must meet the following requirements:
Attend treatment sessions two (2) times per week.
Attend AA two (2) times per week.
Submit to frequent, random alcohol and drug screenings (at least twice a week).
Call daily to see if they need to report for a screen that day.
Attend court sessions every 2 weeks.
Drug Court Treatment Program Participants must meet the following requirements:
Remain in good standing in the program for a minimum of 18 months.
Attend treatment sessions three (3) times per week.
Attend AA/NA/CA meetings three (3) times per week.
Submit to frequent, random drug and alcohol screenings (at least twice a week).
Call daily to see if they need to report for a screen that day.
Submit to random visits to their place of residence.
Attend court sessions weekly.
