Stop the destruction of Yala , our national heritage!

Yala, Once an oasis and refuge for the diverse wildlife in Sri Lanka, It is our primary wildlife park and a national heritage! Now it cries out for our help -as the above image captures the true nature of the destruction and threat it is under... We urgently need strict rules and regulations implemented and overall better management with NO political interference. There should be a severe restriction on the number of visitors and vehicles being allowed on a daily basis. At present, Yala has been overtaken by a jeep mafia and controlled by politicians who don't care a dime about the wildlife and the sustainability of it. This is an urgent appeal to all wildlife enthusiasts and conservationists worldwide and all of us humans in general who care enough about the other species we share our planet with. Let's get together to preserve Yala!!!
