Citizens of T&T DEMAND inclusion in decision making process regarding Venezuelan migrant crisis

  • al: Jane Doe
  • destinatario: Citizens of Trinidad and Tobago

Trinidad and Tobago a small Caribbean country of 1.3 million people is now being bombarded by migrants from Venezuela. We understand their plight and we wish to assist our neighbours but NOT at the expense of OUR citizens . We DEMAND that Amnesty International and other international organizations TO STOP pressuring the Trinidad government to take in Venezuelan migrants and integrate them into OUR society. We DEMAND that employment laws be put in place to protect the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago and ensure that we do not suffer the loss of jobs due to cheaper labour. Tax paying Trinidad and Tobago citizens deserve priority to access the already LIMITED RESOURCES- healthcare-hospitals and health centres, education system (primary and secondary schools)

Does Amnesty International not care about the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago? Do we not have rights as well? We are not being given a choice in the future of our country , the country that our children and grandchildren will inherit.
