Deforestation is destroying our land in many ways. More ways than you may think...

the removal of tress without sufficient reforestation has resulted in habitat damage, biodiversity loss, and aridity. It has adverse impacts on atmospheric carbon dioxide.

between 2000 and 2012 2.3 million square kilometers of forest around the world were cut down. As a result, only 6.2 million square kilometers remain of the 16 million kilometers that formerly covered the earth.
An area the size of a football pitch is cleared from the Amazon rainforest every minute!

This also affects many animals.
The most dramatic impact of deforestation is a loss of habitat for millions of species. Eighty percent of earth's land animals and plants live in forest habitats, and many cannot survive the deforestation that destroys their homes. 

YOU are never too young or old too make a difference.
