As someone who has four years ago lived in Europe (Romania), it has been a great disappointment to me, when arriving to Canada, to be hit by the realization that I am now unable to take part in the Eurovision Song Contest voting. Of course, I was ecstatic enough about being able to view it live, something which was once impossible for those living outside of Europe, but I can say its more than frustrating to be unable to vote for the songs I love and want to see winning.
I believe that ESC should give this privilege to us viewers living in other continents around the world. An option would be, in the point distribution, for there to be another category named "others", which would represent voters outside of Europe. There are several other ways this could be done, and I wish the organizers would take it under consideration. For this reason, I have started this petition, which I wish to send to the ESC leaders once we collect enough signatures.
