Demand and end to cutting mature Maple trees in The Ryerson Conservation District

According to their own website over 250,000 of timber has already been sold as high grade logs and firewood. They wrongly think that this site was recently an Oak savanah and want to destroy a mature hardwood forest w a full compliment of trilliums and wildflowers under Maples, Basswoods, Walnuts, Oaks, and Cherry to bring in more light for Oak seedling regeneration. It won't work anyway. They should experiment on a small piece at least and see. Timber values and sales amounts should be disclosed .
