This home on Park Crescent is a unique example of a Georgian
style home in the Westshore Community of Pickering Ward 1.  Land registry dates the first land patent to 1796, and the home appears to have been built in the early 19^th century.  The early construction and integrity of the structure set this homestead apart in the community and make it an integral part of Pickering heritage and cultural history.  Currently, this homestead is not under the protection of the Ontario Heritage Act.  The pending sale of the property threatens the continued existence of this important landmark.
