TJX Canada, the company who's retailers include Winners, Homesense and Marshalls have begun to sell large amounts of real animal fur. For example, full coats, fur trimmed coats, boots, hats, gloves, scarves and other accessories have been found in most Winners stores investigated. In some cases, the fur is not labelled as to the species of origen ( for all one knows, it could be cat or domestic dog), it is mislabelled as fake (faux) fur when indeed it is real fur or the garment's label has been altered and the words' real fur' have been deliberately covered up. Most of the fur is coming from China where there are NO animal cruelty laws and undercover investigations routinely see animals skinned alive, bludgeoned and annually and vaginally electrocuted, stomped on and gassed. Other sources of fur are European countries where animal abuse, cruel living conditions and very cruel killing are also the norm.
