No Prop 58 at TECS until families, staff, and teachers get accurate info!

We, parents and stakeholders at Topanga Elementary Charter School, are requesting more information and clarification on the potential impacts of the proposed dual language immersion program and feasibility study supported by Prop 58 as applied to our school. We are requesting this information both in writing and in person PRIOR to completing a feasibility study, especially as the study has been set in motion in part by some parents who did not fully understand the implications of requesting it.

The feasibility study and dual-language program may have potential long-term impacts on our school that are not clear and require informed understanding from as many stakeholders as possible before moving forward.

Furthermore, we are completely opposed to implementing a dual language program at our school if it results in having to replace teachers, lose any of our existing classrooms, or divert resources from the enrichment programs that our community has worked so hard to establish, fund and maintain.
