Require Quarterly Health Screenings For Homeschooled Students in Nebraska

Currently there are no required assessments for homeschooled children in Nebraska. Too often children are left behind when it comes to regular health and well being checks. Public schools offer an opportunity for the child to be seen by professionals to ensure their safety, in homeschooling, there is no such opportunity. 20,000 American children have been killed in the last 10 years, in their own home by a family member. Mandatory, quarterly health and well being checks would help prevent a few deaths. In signing this petition, I hope to present our concern to Nebraska lawmakers and, with your help, strengthen the regulations for Nebraska's children.
