Stop ICE Agents From Wearing Masks When Conducting Arrests

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers are increasingly hiding their faces behind masks when they take people from their homes, workplaces, and communities. And in many cases, they are refusing to identify themselves or show a badge, leaving terrified onlookers to wonder who the hell is taking their loved ones.

This practice is unacceptable, and it must stop now. 

No other branch of law enforcement routinely hides its officers' faces during standard operations. ICE should not be allowed to operate in the shadows.

We call on the Department of Homeland Security and ICE leadership to immediately end the use of masks by ICE officers during enforcement actions, except in rare, specific circumstances where genuine health or safety risks require them.

Government must be transparent, accountable, and humane. Masked raids are none of these.
