Keshari Tamrakar is a Nepali Citizen being treated under hospice care in Portland Oregon USA. She was diagnosed with lung cancer in late 2015. As of now, her cancer has spread to her brain and spine.

Keshari came to America to attend a wedding of her granddaughter. While traveling on the plane she had a hard time due to a severe seizure, which the doctors believe was caused by her progressing brain tumor. As she is being treated in Hospice care, doctors have said that her last of days are near. While she is struggling with her disease, her one and only last wish is to see her daughter Sunita Tamrkar, who has been struggling to get a travel (B1) visa from the American Embassy of Kathmandu.

We know the immigration laws of the America are strict when it comes to travelers or visitors who want to immigrate to the United States. But this is one of such genuine cases which needs the attention of the public. These situations are not rare as far we know, and it could happen to anyone anytime. We just want to make a difference in the way these cases are judged by the consular officers who have the autocratic power. Not everyone wants to come and stay in America, and a sensitive case like this should be judged with compassion to the victims.

Our goal it not to bring Sunita Tamrakar to America for good. It is to help fulfill a dying mother's last wish and a daughter's right to peacefully bid her mother goodbye.

Please sign this petition asking the American Embassy of Kathmandu to grant Sunita Tamrakar a travel visa to the U.S.
