More crosswalks on Memorial Dr!

Today my husband and many neighbors witnessed a 7 year old boy get hit by a car crossing Memorial Dr, a busy road nonetheless. We live on Memorial Dr and see pedestrians of all ages running across the road, especially to and from the apartments across from our home. There are zero crosswalks for at least a quarter of a mile towards East Lake and maybe a third of a mile towards downtown. We need to give the citizens on the south side of memorial Dr a safe place to cross as some of these people go to school or utilize the businesses in Kirkwood. Anyone who lives near or drives down memorial Dr knows the speed limit may be 35 MPH but rarely do drivers obey this. We would like to see a safer, more pedestrian friendly environment as our community continues to grow. Please help!
