Demand to stop employment agencies from abusing the system and workers rights

    Employment agencies often terminate their employees without replacing their assignments. They don't offer sick days to their employees. They do not need any reason for termination. Pregnant women, people with disabilities, and minorities are suppressed by these agencies. For example, a pregnant women is terminated but can not take any legal action because technically she was not fired but "terminated". However, she will most likely won't recieve employment afterwards because she is a liability due to her pregnancy. The solution is to apply the California labor laws of discrimination to these agencies, when a employee never recieves a replacement assignment after a week of "termimtaion of assignment ", then they will be breaking the law thus the pregant women's rights are protected. Since a agency fires the employee without giving work, it is considered a status of firing .Furthermore, agencies are profiting from worker's wages and as a result they should give 3 days of paid sick leave per 12 months. Employees are required to give a doctor's note afterwards to keep employment. If sick days are not affordable to smaller agencies, then sick days are still offered without pay. Employees have rights, but the agencies have found a loop hole in the labor laws and it is your responsibility as a citizen to take action against the corruption.
