Tell The Fitness Industry No Heavy Weight Bars For Squats

Squats are a great exercise for tightening your glutes, But placing a loaded weight bar across your shoulders can cause serious injury to your shoulders , neck, and back. Three weeks ago, I had my neck fused. In 4.5 hours, they  removed four vertebrae and replaced them with a bone graft. Prior to this, I was on terrible pain for 6 months.This is all because I was doing an exercise in a way that was encouraged by the fitness industry. We need to let them know that it all will eventually lead to surgery, long recovery (3-9 months) and that there is nothing wrong finding a way to do squats differently. There is no shame in finding a SAFE way to do them.
