Keep Whitehall Point in Beaufort SC as an Open Land Park

The undersigned residents of Beaufort, South Carolina, reject out of hand, the plans that have been submitted to the City of Beaufort for the development of property annexed by the City, a visually-stunning, environmentally-sensitive, and historically-significant property, known as Whitehall Point.

We urgently request that Beaufort City and Beaufort County elected officials create a mechanism for creating a perpetual open space for the good of all citizens and visitors to our City, that it may retain its natural beauty and be appreciated by all who see it from downtown Beaufort, and when crossing the bridge, for generations to come.
