Employ more counsellors at Stirling University

Between the academic years of 2013/14 and 2017/18, the registration with Student Support Services has increased by an alarming large percentage (225%). Currently the University has 1.8 full time equivalent provision for counsellors for approximately 12,000 students who study here. The Good Practice guidelines recommend a counsellor to student ratio of 1:3000. We can stop the increasing suicide rates on campus and put an end to the ridiculously long waiting list by employing more counsellors!
