Demand to Exterminate the AC Rules

I go to a small University in Arizona. On February 21st, a notice was placed on all of the dorm rooms explaining that we will get fined if the thermostat in our room is set at anything other than 72 degrees. The students feel this is ridiculous given that we live in one of the hottest states in Arizona. On top of that, tuition is already north of $40,000 so I do not feel that students should get fined for using air conditioning
