Investigate James Comey for trying to influence the election

F.B.I. director James Comey sent a letter to Congress just 11 days before the election claiming vaguely that some Hillary emails may need to be looked into. This move was a bold-faced effort at influencing the election, something that government employees cannot legally do. A formal complaint has been filed with the Office of Special Counsel and the Office of Government Ethics.

We demand they investigate Jame Comey for trying to influence an election in an official government capacity.

Before he released this letter, senior officials at the Justice Department told him not to and he ignored their warnings.

Harry Reid wrote a response letter noting that the F.B.I. has information about Trump's connection to Russia, but has not released it. Yet James Comey single-handedly decided he should publicly call out Clinton at a tiny hint of potential impropriety. Proving that he is not an unbiased decider. Though the law is undifferentiated on this matter, regardless of intention or bias, those in an official government capacity cannot try to influence an election.

The Hatch Act is the law that keeps officials from influencing elections and it should be respected and followed. Failure to do so will create an environment where officials can abuse their positions of power.
