Routine Screening For Hepatitis in Pregnancy

I was talking to somebody this morning and they were telling me how her daughters friend had lost their newborn baby at just 4 days old. This little baby had only been in the world for a matter of days before losing its life. I cannot begin to imagine how the parents must be feeling right now.

I would like the NHS to routinely screen all pregnant women for all types of Hepatitis. This may not prevent another tragedy which I heard about this morning,but it may reduce the amount of neo natal deaths which are directly linked to hepatitis.
