Australia has become one of the worst nations for accelerating extinction of native species .And Victoria under the Allan government together with her"environment"minister Dimopoulos is openly demonstrating the causes of this. Last year she bowed to her union friends and allowed the duck slaughter season to go ahead DESPITE the advice of the expert committee which had been formed by this government .Then late last year the massacre of thousands of koalas from helicopters shocked local and international communities fueled further by the clandestine nature of this bloodbath This year and hitting the headlines is the obstruction and threatening of wildlife carers desperate to save as many wildfire victims from death from infection and dehydration These are the actions of DEECA ,the same agency who shot koalas
And now demonstrating utter callousness and complete disregard for biodiversity and animal welfare it is proposing that the duck slaughter season proceed, the slaughter of 280,000 kangaroos go ahead, and the hunting of quail proceed.
tens of thousands of kangaroos ,koalas and quail have perished due to fires and the obstructionist behaviour this is a direct assault on wildlife and shows abject arrogance and cruelty towards our beleaguered iconic wildlife We demand an immediate cessation to the hunting ,culling and brutalization of our wildlife and demand an independent committee of experts to review the entire environment department and appalling decision making it has so brazenly demonstrated
