Fight Hate With Art

It having been a year since the Manchester attack it is clear to see that the environment is tense.
Most of you will have noticed across the cities of Britain added measures of security, one in particular being large concrete blocks in order to prevent vehicle based attacks.

I believe in this current environment we do not need drab reminders of the tensions in the air. What we need is art, art that displays that at the heart of it all our compassion and respect for one another outweighs any sort of hate.
I would then appeal to councils across the country and the government itself to use these concrete defences as pieces of art. Commission local artists to paint some beauty over those beige blocks and bring a brighter environment to cities across Britain.
In doing this I believe we will promote a great new reason to promote new British art and artists. It will also prove that Love Trumps Hate everyday.
