White Oak Youth League has been around for many years offering a baseball and softball program for the youth in the Piney Green area. The fields are currently located on school grounds of Morton Elementary and have not been updated since they were first put in. Other area leagues have the best of fields that are well maintained with some of the best materials available yet WO kids play on substandard hard dirt and sparse outfields. Our concession stand is our money maker for paying Umps, buying new gear and cooking equipment yet it has cracked walls, broken doors and windows. Our bathrooms, which consist of one stall each, are nasty looking even when completely clean. The look of our fields hinders us from maintaining and gaining new players no matter what the board does. No one wants their child to play on less than adequate Fields. The kids in the Piney Green area deserve fields they can play on safely and be proud of. We ask that you support us by signing this petition to get White Oak Youth League adequate fields of their own away from the school.
