Stop the attack on GMO labeling!

Monsanto has spent millions to keep us from knowing if our food is genetically engineered. But you may be surprised by who else wants to keep us in the dark.

Some of America's largest and most popular companies -- Coke, Pepsi, Nestle, General Mills -- are all spending piles of cash to stop GMO labeling.

So intent are they to not label their GMO products, they're helping wage war against one of the smallest states in the nation Vermont because it had the guts to pass a labeling law with no strings attached. And they're attacking Vermont's law in the courts behind an industry trade group, so shoppers like us don't know what they're up to!

Now we know. And it's time to tell these corporate giants to stop trying to block what consumers of their products want!

I just sent an email to the CEOs of these companies to stay out of Vermont's business, and stop opposing GMO labeling laws. As consumers of their products, we have a lot of clout if we speak out.

Stop the attack on GMO labeling!

Dear [Decision Maker],

As a long-time purchaser of your products, I expect the label on your packaging to tell me exactly what's inside, so I can make an informed choice. So I was shocked to learn that you are fighting common-sense GMO labeling laws that would give me the right to know what's in your products.

Your company is a member of, and financially supports, the Grocery Manufacturers Association, a trade group that has filed suit to block Vermont's law to label genetically engineered food. You also have contributed large amounts to stop other states' attempts to label GMO foods.
