SRO HOUSING CORPORATION has over 2,800 rental units, rented to many former homeless individuals. Tenants such as myself who have lived at the RENATO Apartments, an SRO HOUSING CORPORATION building have witnessed the murder and stealing from tenants and the exploitation from management staff through stealing from tenants via charging many times for rent already paid. Because SRO HOUSING CORPORATION has been in the 'SLUMLORD-TENANT BUSINESS$$$ for over thirty years SRO HOUSING CORPORATION has accrued enormous influence with the L.A. County Board of Supervisors, the L.A. City Council, powerful Corporations, Banks and even the Superior Court at 111 North Hill Street in downtown Los Angeles -- according to over a dozen plaques on the lobby wall of The Rosslyn Hotel on the corner of Fifth and Main Street in downtown Los Angeles. As the interim spokesperson for the SRO HOUSING CORPORATION Independent Residents Association, we are unable to make an impact on encouraging SRO HOUSING CORPORATION to do the moral and ethical "right thing".
