It's the end of an era. Jeopardy! host, Alex Trebek has said that he may retire from the award-winning game show by 2020.

It's sad to think of Jeopardy! without Alex Trebek but I hope the show will go on. And luckily — Trebek has named the perfect sucesser. In a recent interview, he called out legal analyst and radio host, Laura Coates as one possible future host and I think she'd be perfect.

Sign my petition calling for Laura Coates to be the next Jeopardy! host! Not only would Coates would be the first woman — and the first African-American — to host the show, but she's also amazingly smart, sucessful, and a HUGE fan of the show.

I grew up watching Alex Trebek on Jeopardy! and I've learned so much watching the show (pro tip: always go for the TRUE daily double!) Even if Trebek retires, it's essential that Jeopardy! continue to inspire generations to come. Having a woman of color like Coates as the new host would better reflect the diversity of the show's fans, audience, and contestants.

Please join me in calling on Sony and Jeopardy's production companies to listen to Alex Trebek and tap Laura Coates as the new Jeopardy! host!
