Under the Trump Administration, the Department of Homeland Security and ICE have ramped up their efforts to deport as many people as possible - including kids and community volunteers, and increasingly, people who have not committed any crime. In fact, according to one analysis of ICE detentions, 65% of people kidnapped by ICE had no convictions.
One unexpected and often overlooked victim of immigration raids? The pets who are left behind with no owners to care for them. Why should innocent people, who adore their pets, have to give them up to shelters?
