Stop "Correction of History" Keep Civil War Monuments

There are those that think the past needs to be corrected and statues and memorials of the Civil War need to be removed. These memorials are considered "offensive" because they represent a time in this country when one group of people were suppressed and forced to serve others. However, memorials serve a specific purpose to remind the future generations of the past. If it was important enough to put up a statue, it must be something worth learning about. These monuments need to be left where they are so others may learn from the lessons history has to teach. Help keep history the way it was not the way people think it should be. Good or bad this is what makes us American.
