Establish The Faulkner County Homeless Service Voluntary Tax (Mayflower)

Faulkner County is in need of innovative ways to address homelessness. In the last two years homelessness has increased from 163 person to 189 persons. Faulkner County has limited resources and building capacity to address this important population of persons. The combination of limited resources, restrictive zoning ordinances, and stereotypes of the homeless contribute to a situation in which men, women, and children in Faulkner County do not have the best opportunity to flourish as human beings.

By signing this petition you are soliciting your elected representatives to establish an avenue in which nonprofit organizations house the homeless can develop greater capacities to serve with the homeless, build new infrastructure, and effectively reduce homelessness.
