Make your pledge to reduce marine debris

Marine debris is a growing problem affecting every corner of the globe, and it is preventable.  Take action now to reduce the amount of trash that ends up in the oceans and shores, killing marine animals and damaging habitat that is home to countless creatures.

By signing this petition, you pledge to do one or more of the following:

• I will use a reusable bag when going shopping.
• I will bring my own reusable drinking water bottle wherever I go.
• I will start a school or work recycling drive.
• When boating or fishing, I will stow all trash and broken fishing line for proper disposal on land.
• I will pick up any trash I see while out, even if it is someone else’s.
• I will join a beach, park, forest or other cleanup in my area.
• I will learn more about the issue to share and inspire others.
