By law it is illegal for Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton to continue running for office.
Under article i, section 9 and Emoluments clause from article vi of the articles of confederation; it is illegal for foreign individuals, corp., and governments to give money directly or indirectly influencing US elections. It is also illegal for candidates to solicit foreign support. Both candidates, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have been proven guilty of such activities but legal action has not been taken and/or enforced.
Our founding fathers established many laws with checks and balances to safeguard the people from the natural order, where might rules. Many governments are run by those with the most money, influence, and power. In fact laws and governments are established for just that purpose: to protect those who would otherwise be subjected to the aforementioned. Therefore it behooves us to enforce laws there set for our protection. Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have blatantly sought and/or secured large finances from sources outside our country, without consequence. We as a people need to force those with proper authority to enforce the laws.
