Back in 1977 Lamar Johnson, the Mets hitting coach, was a third year player for the Whitesox. A front office executive approached him and asked if he would sing the national anthem before a home game. He checked with his wife, sang the national anthem and ended up hitting two home runs. Listen to Lamar describe the experience, vote, share and Let's Go Mets!
