SHS Baseball Coach Denied Reinstatement for Discrimination

Coach Jackson has been denied the opportunity to be an Assistant Coach for the Varsity Baseball Team by the Board of Directors of Shelbyville Central Schools. The reason given was because they do not feel he will adhere to the COVID restrictions and policies. They came to this decision because of how Coach Jackson reacted when his son was Contact Traced this past August, 2021, Coach Jackson was the Assistant Coach last year, and regardless of his opinion, he did follow all COVID Restrictions, without any concerns or complaints. Allowing the School Board to make assumptions on whether Coach Jackson would not adhere to those same restrictions this year is not fair to Coach Jackson or the Team.
