Severn Trent Water, seize neglected horses fly grazing on your land in Cinderford and rehome them

The Crump Meadow horses
Chancer was found close to death on a cold muddy field on Christmas Day and despite being given all the vet care that could be offered he sadly lost his fight and had to be PTS a week later. He was left cold and hungry on land belonging to Severn Trent Water and despite several calls to the RSPCA about him and other horses on the field he was close to death before action was taken. After he was removed local people called on the RSPCA to remove other horses on the field, locals were feeding 11 cold, hungry and emaciated horses on land which looked more like a rubbish tip than horse pasture! The RSPCA could not remove the horses because they don't have the powers (yet a vet didn't even examine them all), Severn Trent Water have failed to take action to remove them under the new Fly Grazing law, World Horse Welfare say it's up to the RSPCA to deal with and Gloucestershire County Council who have the power to seize them under the Animal Welfare Act said they will not deal with Horse Welfare cases. The BHS volunteer welfare officer is only too willing to help, but is also hitting brick walls!! These horses have been failed by a bunch of organisations that together could change their future for the better. Local people have homes waiting for them, so why can't they be seized? Their owners who have already left one foal to die are allowed to get away with it, keep the others and abuse them. Witnesses have seen foals ridden, yearling that have full sets of shoes on, driven and whipped into the ground! Cruelty at its worst!!
