Petition to stop the further development of salmon farms in Ireland

Minister for Agriculture Simon Coveney last night announced that the development of many more salmon farms in Ireland was imperative to economic growth.  This petition is to try and bring awareness to him, his fellow TD's, and the Irish people of the disastrous impacts that salmon farms have on wild fish survival rates.  The farms produce an infestation of sea lice that attach to young salmon and sea trout migrating to sea.  This can result in the young fish dying before ever getting the chance to reach maturity.
