The doula community want to stand together and ask Discovery Insurance to start cover Doulas

Doula support has been proven to decrease risk of Cesarean, and use of pain medications and other interventions during labor and birth. Continuous Doula support during active labor and birth, and right after baby is born, increases parents' satisfaction with their labor and birth experience.

Some of the major Health insurers of South Africa are covering Doulas we challenge Discovery Insurance to do the same !
