Moon bears are kept in tiny cages, some of them for up to 30 years, sometimes so cramped they can't turn atround or stand for their entire lives, and the bear bile is extracted from their gall bladder through painful methods.
The hole is never closed and the animals are suspect to various infections and diseases. The bears wear iron vests as they often try to kill themselves by hitting their stomach as they are unable to bare the pain.
Bear bile is not necessary any longer as this is the 21st century and there are herbal and synthetic alternatives that are just as effective and they are cheaper to buy and produce, free of suffering of innocent moon bears.
